The French nationality

The French nationality

The nationality is the means to beneficiate from some rights and, mainly, to participate to the whole acts regarding the destiny of a nation. In France, it is the way to claim one’s citizenship and be a full member of the nation within which the person evolves.

However, the allegiance is conditioned by, either, the residence in France, the birth in France, or the filiation from a French ascendant.

Since the advent of the 5th Republic, the law of the nationality in France has been amended many times, the most important was the Ruling of July 21st 1962 and the Law of December 30th 1993.

The team is very used to deal with such cases, either by claiming the issuance of certificates of nationality or challenge the refusals before the competent jurisdictions.
